“Advanced Skill Educational Standards” belong to Iran Technical and Vocational Training Organization (TVTO), which is under the supervision of the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare. These standards are categorized into two main types based on the level of profession, pre-requirements, and duration of the standard. “Occupational” type needs some pre-requirements and has a long-hour course of more than 100 hours. The shorter standards needing little or no prerequisites are so-called “Competence“.
Mohammad Reza Hashemzadeh is the founder of the biotechnology occupational group and the founder of the 1st stem cell biotechnology department under TVTO supervision in 2009 in Iran. He and Zahra Seyedi codified the 1st advanced skill educational standard entitled “Senior Researcher in Stem Cell Isolation (Embryonic and Adult) and Molecular Analysis”. In 2012, Mohammad Ehsan Taghavizadeh Yazdi founded the 1st plant biotechnology department under TVTO supervision.
ROYESH-SCB Institute has collaborated, whether directly or by its scientific staff, with TVTO to codify some advanced skill educational standards. Also, this institute by now has held some courses based on these skill standards.
